Public works subcontractor is looking for a Project Accountant / Payroll Compliance.
The ideal candidate will be committed to customer service, exhibit professionalism and be experienced in handling a wide range of accounting and administrative support related tasks.
This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Process construction preliminary liens and business licenses
* Request bonding, insurance and worker's comp requirements
* Prepare Progress Billings against Schedule of Values
* Bill change orders and extra work tickets
* Reviewing actual shipments versus estimates for discrepancies
* Collections (Business to Business)
* Assist with Certified Payroll Compliance (LCP Trakker, DIR other websites)
* Process Railroad Badging
* Assist in ensuring PLA agreement compliance
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism is crucial to this role.
* minimum 3 years experience in Public Works Construction or Manufacturing Environment
* Good written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
* Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel.
* Possess Strong math skills and have eye for details
* Position requires the candidate to be focused with the ability to shift projects and meet deadlines.
* Bi-lingual.
* Associates in Business relate field preferred.
* Experience with Inventory and job costing helpful.
