Position Information
The Budget, Personnel and Program Assistant provides primary administrative and accounting support to the Highlander Union Building (HUB) with a focus in budgetary, billing, purchasing, and operational needs.
The Budget, Personnel and Program Assistant provides proactive, high-quality, flexible and reliable support and works closely with direct supervisor, the Financial and Administrative Manager for the AVC/Dean of Students organizational unit and the HUB career staff.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: accounting and budget support, financial tracking and transacting, billing preparation and processing, maintaining billing system correspondences, performing accounts reconciliation, purchasing facilitation and processing, administrative duties and arrangements, record maintenance, and departmental payroll coordination while adhering to university policies and procedures.
This position will support Highlander Union Building mission, vision, and strategic planning and provide backup support to departments within the AVC/Dean of Students organizational unit, as needed.
The full salary range for the Budget, Personnel & Program Assistant is $26.
09 to $37.
40 per hour.
The expected pay scale for this position is $26.
09 to $31.
35 per hour or up to $65,458.
80 annually.

Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience Experience Requirement Five (5) years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Minimum Requirements Knowledge in processing routine accounting transactions with online financial systems, identifying account variances, researching discrepancies, and providing solutions and/or recommendations.
Skilled in data exporting, tracking, and preparation of spreadsheets, maintenance of financial transactions and documentation using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, DocuSign, etc.
Ability to provide administrative support in an office environment such as coordinating administrative activities, meeting office supply needs, drafting and proofreading letters/memos.
Skilled in an customer service environment responding to varied customers, vendors and visitors, meeting and exceeding departmental needs of staff, students, and campus community.
Ability to process cash handling, balancing, and deposit preparation and knowledge of standard retail security policies and procedures.
Skilled in billing support related to generating invoices, accounts statements, account reconciliation, resolving account irregularities, and maintaining records.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge with UC online financial and payroll systems.
