Manage accounting and finance functions for Robar Enterprises, Inc.
The Controller will be responsible in managing all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analysis.
The Controller must be defined by a focus on execution, strong bias for action, decisiveness, a sense of urgency, and problem solve and plan.
Responsibilities
Present monthly financial reports to executive team
Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Lead the operations of finance, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable/collections, and in-house payroll
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis
Be a part of the executive team, and ensure that company-wide operations are efficient and effective.
Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Requirements
Prior work in accounting with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Outstanding communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
Financial analysis experience
Command of financial statement preparation
Budget forecasting experience
5 years management experience minimum
Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge/practice of Advanced Excel
Experienced in Software implementation
Experience using EPICOR preferred
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
CPA or MBA preferred
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
Advanced knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
