Pay: $18-$20 hourly
Job Summary: Reporting to the Staff Accountant or designated manager, perform and follow up with business collection efforts.
Perform all duties assigned by the manager.
May need to review and verify customer registration information.
Assist commercial accounts with their collections efforts, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times by persons under their jurisdiction.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform collection duties on past due receivables for purchases, transportation, reconditioning, etc.
Make collections calls for all past due accounts.
Work with the commercial and dealer consignment team to resolve/collect any past due accounts.
Provide prompt and courteous service: both on the phone and in person.
Demonstrate friendliness and proper phone etiquette with every customer.
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Handbook.
Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner.
Inform the General Manager or designated manager of all serious complaints or incidences.
Review the accounts receivable to identify account problems that may occur such as incorrect payment or billing, past due amount, returned check unpaid draft, etc.
Attend collection meetings and report on collections efforts.
Unauthorize past due accounts.
Run and send out monthly statements
May review customer files for current and accurate registration information to assess client risk levels (bank letters, DMV information, etc.
).
May be responsible for collateral recovery and/or initiate legal action in the collection effort.
Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules and accounting from the Staff Accountant or designated manager or other corporate sources.
Work with third party collections agency as well as auction insurance
Receive and issue client payments

Qualifications
One (1) to three (3) years of business to business credit and collection experience required.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
