The mission of Women's Business Center (IE and CVWBC) is to counsel, teach, encourage, and inspire women business owners at every stage of development and expansion.
With empowering women through entrepreneurship as our vision, our goal is to reach, teach and empower every woman in the Inland Empire who has ever considered inventing or reinventing herself as an entrepreneur and to support those currently in business.
The WBCs are a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) at CSUSB, and are aligned with the greater IECE mission of advancing the study and practice of entrepreneurship at the University and in the business community.
-Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Women’s Business Center’s offices located in either Riverside, San Bernardino, and Temecula, California under general supervision of the Director of the Women’s Business Center.
Incumbent will perform a full range of technical, programmatic, administrative, advanced clerical, and routine staff and analytical duties;
-Assume ongoing programmatic duties and responsibilities specific to area of assignment; provide technical support and specialized program information and assistance to assigned administrator, staff, and students; and participate in coordinating assigned programs, projects, and services, requiring self-sufficiency and a clear understanding of the parameters of the programs and services of the center, as well as the understanding of when to delegate responsibility and to whom.
-Incumbent will serve as primary liaison and resource for assigned functions and programs with staff, interns, volunteers, and the general public and act as resource for communication of information either in person or by telephone regarding knowledge of programs, policies, and procedures as needed, including in the Latina community.
Incumbent will conduct studies and research for center and will participate in the preparation and distribution of narrative, statistical and financial data, recommendations and reports.
-Incumbent will verify and review materials, applications, records and reports for accuracy, totality, and conformance with procedures, processing appropriate information, applications, and forms.
Incumbent will provide technical assistance in person, by telephone or Zoom conference, including business counseling and training in specific areas, and overall community outreach, including to the Latina community.
Incumbent will plan and organize program functions as well as administrative office support functions, coordinating, overseeing, and evaluating the workflow to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Incumbent will participate in the orientation and training of new employees, will assign, schedule, train, and provide work direction to lower-level staff and student workers, will prioritize work assignments and review and validate completed work for accuracy.
Incumbent will prepare and proofread a variety of reports, letters, correspondence, presentations, marketing materials and other documents according to established procedures.
Incumbent is responsible for creation of bi-monthly e-newsletter, flyers and other promotional materials.
Some travel between sites may be required.
