*Position summary:*
The Teacher is responsible for the care, supervision and management of a class of toddlers (12 months- 4 years of age) in accord with the goals and curriculum plan.
The principal duties of the Teacher include: conduct focused observations of children, develop action plans, carry out activities on a daily basis and evaluate the effectiveness of child development activities, ensure the safety and well-being of the children, maintain regular communication with parents, and contribute to the effective operation of the overall early care and education center.
The Teacher reports to the Child Care Center Director.
*Responsibilities *(or essential duties)*:*
* Ensuring the safety, education, care, guidance, and comfort of every child in your classroom
* Conducting activities including physical education, instruction, and curriculum
* Creating lesson plans
* Possessing a loving, caring, and positive interaction with students
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and positive classroom atmosphere that caters to all student needs
* Good classroom management
* Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and participate in regular meetings
*Knowledge and Skills required: *(competencies needed for an individual to perform each job duty satisfactorily.

* Physical & TB test completed within the last 12 months
* Current CPR/First Aid certification
* Criminal record clearance through DOJ/FBI/CACI
* Mandated reporter training – every 2 years
* Immunization records: MMR/TDAP, Flu, COVID-19 (can opt-out of flu & COVID-19 vaccination)
* Very strong verbal and written communication skills
* Clear, consistent and respectful communicator

*Experience:* (minimum or recommended)
* 6 months experience with children under age 5 years
*Education: *(minimum or desired)
* 12 core semester units
* 3 semester units of Infant/Toddler Development preferred (current class enrollment will be considered)
