JOB DESCRIPTION
Shared Services: Enterprise Data Intelligence Services (Full-Time, Day Shift) -

The Architect 1 is responsible to provide business/technical knowledge and expertise in processes, solutions, integration, data migration, and custom development.
Leads the envisioning, architecture, and design discussions to address business needs.
Works in conjunction with other IS departments.
Creates and contributes to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices.
Designs, develops, and articulates solutions based on customer's strategic business or technical requirements.
Responsible for the delivery of the overall solution including but not limited to technical architecture designs, business strategies, and delivery of quality assurance plans.
Works closely with Project Managers and Program Managers in the design, development, and implementation of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work.
These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals.
Performs other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Master's Degree preferred.
Experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Minimum four years of meeting intensive healthcare business or technical needs required.
Minimum one year of Healthcare industry background experience across the continuum of care in an integrated delivery system model required.
Valid California Driver License required at time of hire.
Certification in primary EPIC application is required within assigned Epic applications.
Significant background in a multidiscipline environment including routing, switching, server and storage management, application presentation, scripting, data architecture.
Experience in diverse system and technical/application design in large heterogeneous enterprise environments.
Knowledge of the system requirements definition (RD) processes and modeling methods and tools.
Knowledge of conceptual and logical modeling.
Extensive logic and analytical ability for complex problem solving.
Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions and market experience; ability to relate them to own organization.
Familiarity with company's information architecture and information management methodologies.
Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
Familiarity with organizational systems, business, and data processes.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations, and producing high-quality deliverables (documentation, presentations, research, etc.
).
Ability to analyze problems, process complex data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Good understanding of SOA, Application integration patterns, UML based modeling, and Agile development methodology.
Strong process orientation in approach to solution development including the use of LEAN and Six Sigma process improvement techniques.
Ability to work with business representatives and apply business expertise to ensure quality and accuracy in articulating the business needs into technical application requirements.
Ability to work professionally with physicians, department managers, administration, and employees in a manner that generates mutual respect.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, create a positive environment in the leading and directing a spirit of collaboration.
Demonstrates excellence in verbal and written communication at all organizational levels.
Ability to effectively communicate timelines and updated information to administrators, physicians, department managers, and employees in a clear and succinct manner.
Interpret and create technical plans and operating instructions, schematic drawings, articles from professional and technical journals.
Solve complex problems utilizing logic and analytical ability.
Work conceptually with probability and statistical inference.
Manage multiple activities at the same time.
Must be able to read and interpret technical data, SOA, Application integration patterns, UML based modeling, and Agile development methodology.
Able to write business plans and recommendations.
Strong organization, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Strong documentation skills, including experience writing statements of work.
Possess experience with strategic planning and ability to work with/present to various levels of Management and staff.
Strong project management, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
Possession of broad understanding of company business issues and their integration with broad and complex information systems applications.
Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace.
