Under the general direction of the Director of Web Applications Development, the WebApplications Developer designs, develops, and maintains enterprise websites, pages, applications, and systems in support of California Baptist University by performing the following duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications for business and educational needs.
Analyze, design, code, and deploy web applications.
Perform a variety of data management requests involving databases such as SQL, Oracle, and DB2.
Assist with software development; create projects, scripts, and custom reports with integration to critical systems and databases.
Maintain and administer application security, access, and version control.
Create, edit, publish, modify and maintain web content, database applications, and systems.
Understand user interface and web design issues.
Work with the project management team to gather user requirements and create project plans, schedules, and scope.
Provide project coordination in web development projects.
Understanding of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 guidelines and how it applies to web applications.
Knowledge of WAI and best practices for ADA compliance.
May assist with administering, monitoring, and managing data networks including Internet and Intranet, wide area networks, and local area networks.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position could be responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to part-time Student Workers, in order to complete office work assignments.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience with C#, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, RESTful APIs, and React.
Experience with software development cycle, database design, design patterns, agile development, and advanced database architectures.
Experience with user testing, automated testing, CI/CD, related technologies, and industry best practices.
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Mac & servers).
Ability to plan, develop, coordinate, and deliver multiple projects.
Knowledge of web browsing and enhancement tools, utilities, and applications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and/or four years of increasing responsibility and experience in web applications programming and databases.
Network experience a plus.
