ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with book processing at West Coast University campus libraries which includes attaching bar-codes and labels.
Assists library users with computer programs, internet use and library resources.
Creates library patron records and checks materials in and out.
Delivers quality customer service transactions in communicating with students, faculty, and other library users in person, via telephone, or virtually.
Provides basic range of reference services for students including point-of-use bibliographic and online instruction, reference advisory, database tutorial training, and assistance in accessing student resource content via Learning Management System.
May represent the library in on-campus student facing department events as a peer mentor for students Establishes and maintains collegial working relationships with West Coast University associates and other students.
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the University’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Maintains established department policies, procedures and attends in-services and other required meetings.
Maintains confidentiality of all student, associate, and/or university information as required.
Exercises care, proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies and identifies unsafe conditions and makes appropriate adjustments.
Maintains order, cleanliness, and safety at work.
May perform other duties as assigned.
