Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Association Montessori International (AMI) Elementary Guide(Teacher) to join St.
Mary's Montessori School for our class of 6 to 12 year olds.
As an AMI Elementary Guide (Teacher), you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive learning environment and guiding students through their formative years using Montessori principles.
Qualifications:
* AMI Elementary diploma and certification (preferred).
* Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (preferred).
* Must be willing to follow Elementary Montessori Method, and potentially become certified through Association Montessori International for Upper Elementary
* Proven experience as a Montessori Elementary Guide, demonstrating a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and methodology.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Strong organizational abilities to manage classroom activities, assessments, and administrative tasks.
* Passion for nurturing children's curiosity and fostering a love for learning.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain a prepared Montessori environment that encourages independent learning and exploration.
* Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with Montessori principles and the AMI curriculum, catering to the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
* Foster a supportive and respectful classroom atmosphere, promoting social and emotional growth among students.
* Observe and assess individual student progress, providing personalized guidance and interventions as needed.
* Collaborate with fellow teachers, parents, and school administration to ensure effective communication and holistic development of students.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, reports, and assessments.
* Participate in regular professional development opportunities to enhance Montessori expertise and teaching methods.
