This turned out better than I expected.
It’s in perfect condition, and it works flawlessly!
This computer used to belong to one of my tech-support clients.
It had a slow hard drive in it, and was a little low on memory.
So I added more memory, replaced the aging, slow hard drive with a much faster solid state drive, and installed a fresh copy of Windows 10.
Now it boots up fast and loads programs in seconds.
It’s still not among the fastest computers that I’ve used in the last several years, but it does pretty well.
For web surfing and checking email, it’s actually a pretty responsive.
Just don’t plan on playing fast-action video games on it, or running your office accounting system.
On the plus side, it has a wonderfully large, bright screen.
With a built-in camera.
And built-in speakers and microphones.
The computer is all self-contained in the back of the screen.
It has a wireless keyboard and mouse.
I should mention something about this keyboard.
It’s an older, discontinued model made by Logitech.
And it happens to have among the best touch-typing experiences that I’ve ever come across.
Perfect key travel, and quiet too.
Bright, backlit keys are rare in a wireless keyboard.
I’ve already loaded up all of the software that you’re ever going to need:
Windows 10 Home – this computer used to belong to one of my tech-support clients, so I wiped the drive and started fresh.
LibreOffice – a very good, free clone of Microsoft Office.
It will read and write files from MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
It does not include an email component that is equivalent of MS Outlook, so use webmail like Google's or a similar service.
Sumatra PDF Reader – an alternative to Adobe Acrobat, without all of the McAfee bloatware that Adobe wants you to install, and without the security vulnerabilities that Adobe is known for
Google Chrome – everyone's favorite web browser
Firefox – an alternative web browser
VLC Media Player – play movies, web radio, etc.
Zoom – for video teleconferencing
This is a perfect computer for someone with light-duty, general-purpose computing needs like web surfing, checking email, maybe some word processing or spreadsheet work, or even streaming movies.
Cash only.
The price is not negotiable.
