We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructor to join our team.
At Tempest Taekwondo, we have a positive, family-oriented and updated approach to the martial art.
Our dojang focuses on empowering students to be more self-confident, self-motivated, focused, to value their own self-worth, and of course physical fitness.
DESCRIPTION
Looking for a Taekwondo instructor with the following qualities:
• Must be self-motivated, always looking for something to do and how to be helpful.
• Good with kids and parents.
Be able to adapt and utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
• Great customer service skills
• Willing to clean and help with all aspects of the business.
• Black belt and previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Passionate about taekwondo and working with kids.
• Positive & professional energy
• Be able to work well with others and can take direction.
• We are looking for a long-term instructor.
• Flexible with schedule, as we will sometimes require additional hours for tests, parents’ night out, demos, etc.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• We ARE NOT looking for aggressive, or fighter types.
Must work well with kids and have a positive attitude.
Responsibilities will include:
• Student enrollment.
• Cleaning all areas of the dojang, including restrooms.
• You will be assisting with classes, and we will train you to eventually lead / teach classes.
You will be trained to create engaging lessons, deliver effective instruction, and provide mentorship to students.
