Knowledge of Construction is a *MUST!* Job Description: Fast Pace High Energy General Contractor is seeking a highly-motivated Bookkeeper with Construction experience to help in the day to day accounting, payroll and bookeeping operations.
The bookkeeper will report to the CEO and be part of the Accounting Dept.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for bookkeeper: Perform Daily Bookkeeping Tasks Manage and Enter Accounts Payable and accounts Receibables including Lien Waivers.
Provide monthly financial Reports Check the accuracy of business transactions * Reviews and analyzes job cost reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
Perform data entry and administrative duties Reconciliation of all accounts monthly Run weekly payroll including Reports and deposits Create and process invoicing using AIA G702 & 703 billing forms * Generate AIA billings to Owners and review all contracts and job costs.
Prepare Month End Journal Entries Reconcile balance sheet Accounts on a Monthly basis Track labor and material costs per job Manage employee files; benefits, vacation pay etc Reconcile all credit card accounts Performs all accounting functions related to Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, reconciliation and Job Costing.
General Accountabilities * Monitors, reviews and verifies accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness and adequacy of supporting documentation.
* Ensures compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
* Reviews and analyzes job cost reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
* Clarifies or researches issues as necessary.
* Organization and attention to detail is a must.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field is helpful but not necessary * Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Construction Industry is *Necessary*! * Must be an expert in Construction Accounting.
* Ability to prioritize, multitask and work well with others.
SKILLS: * Excellent verbal and written communication * Mathematics * Critical thinking * Judgment and decision making * Time management * Familiar with construction software Job Type: Full-time Pay: $56,000.
00 - $80,000.
