Position Summary:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Electric Vehicle Service Technician to repair, maintain, and retrofit electric vehicles, and electric vehicle charging equipment.
You’ll be collaborating with engineering, service operations, internal and external support teams, across multiple manufactures and platforms to provide repair solutions to our EV fleet customers.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and customer focused technician with a growth mindset looking to propel their career and develop their skills in the EV industry.
Our internal and external partners will help guide you through various training programs to learn the vehicles and understand the business of fleet utilization.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay: $40-50 / Hour - Paid weekly, every Friday!
Shift: Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities
Communicate professionally with internal and external customers about repairs and scheduling
Operate remotely via mobile service vehicle - Travel to locations to support repairs on site at customer locations, as well as in a service center
Follow all manufacturer repair procedures with efficiency without compromising quality and safety
Perform or assist with assigned diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
Document all work performed in work order with concise language and technical detail
Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of the repair
Perform necessary parts and inventory operations such as parts ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory counts
Stay up to date with technical skills and required training
Support manufacturer campaigns and recall initiatives
Maintain and process accurate expense reporting as needed
Maintain high quality work and efficiency while working with little supervision
Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing, dynamic environment
Ability to perform duties and communicate with a high level of professionalism, in a customer facing environment
What you must have:
5 or more years’ experience working on cars (must have experience with Electric Vehicles, brakes, advanced suspension, electrical diagnosis, software/firmware updates, basic hardware retrofits, tire repairs and alignment)
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, automotive shop equipment (e.
g.
, Impact guns, air tools, automotive lifts, floor jacks, etc.
)
Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering components and an understanding of how they interact
Strong computer skills, and strong aptitude to pick up new technology.
Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical schematics
Impeccable communication skills
Experience using a work order management system including repair documentation, with the ability to document repairs with clear and concise language
A learning mindset including an open mind to constructive feedback
A proven track record of emphasizing safety and quality of work
Ability to give and receive clear and concise verbal and written directives
Ability to perform regular physical work including, but not limited to, stooping, lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds.
Comfort in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
High attention to detail
Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need.
Shifts may include evening, overnight, or early morning hours
Must possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, or as needed
Ability to read and speak fluent English

Graduated from an accredited automotive repair school preferred
Some hybrid repair background is a plus
Ability to drive non-commercial truck and trailer preferred
