Operator In Training

NATURE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED: The Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority is currently seeking experienced and qualified individuals for the position of Operator-in-Training.
Responsible for assisting in the operation of the wastewater treatment facility to ensure proper operation as well as compliance with discharge requirements for the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority.
This is an entry level position that provides training and development prior to obtaining a Treatment Plant Operator I position.
This position reports to the Operations Supervisor Minimum Education/Experience: Candidate must possess (at a minimum) a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), maintain in good standing a valid State of California Class C driver’s license.
One year of general experience in construction or maintenance work.
Must complete application and obtain an “Operator-in-Training” certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board within 30 days from date of hire.
