About the Position
A key part of AC Pro's business is the manufacture of sheet metal components and our production facility is currently undergoing a transformation from legacy manufacturing techniques to a modern, automated manufacturing system.
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Graduate/Junior Electrical Controls Engineer to join a small team that is responsible turning this transformation into reality.
Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
Undertake the design of electrical and control system for industrial automation machinery
Size and select electrical/controls components
Create manufacturing documentation including electrical schematics
Develop software specifications for industrial machinery
Write, implement, test and document PLC and HMI software
Undertake system testing, tuning and development
Participate in design reviews internally and with external suppliers and customers
Work on multiple projects simultaneously
Participate in transition from Engineering to Manufacturing and provide necessary support
Support production and sustaining engineering activities as required
Minimum Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Systems Engineering
Coursework in electrical power systems design, control systems, programmable logic controllers programming and/or Automation.
Interest in the electrical engineering industry with emphasis on automation
Familiarity with schematic creation software (such as AutoCAD Electrical) and software programming (such as PLC ladder logic, C or similar)
Internship experience at engineering related firm preferred
Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong English communications skills, both written and verbal
Good interpersonal skills; strong relationship building skills
Strong organizational skills; exceptional attention to detail
Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with Microsoft Office Suite of applications

Pay Range: $65K to $85K (DOE)
