Job Summary
The Cement Bulk Powder Driver is responsible for safely driving a multi-axle double trailered truck for transporting bulk cement powder from the cement plants to the batch plants.
The driver is also required to operate an aggregate haul truck and/or mixer truck as needed.

Responsibilities
Operate a multi-axle double trailered truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
Make normal operating adjustments to equipment and material being hauled (e.
g.
secure hatches and hoses)
Operates pneumatic and conveyor controls
Perform a pre and post trip inspection, recording all deficiencies on a DVIR and communicate with maintenance department as necessary
Record all necessary daily trip/load logs as directed
Communicate with dispatch daily for all loads regarding times, material, and locations as required
Communicate in a respectful, clear and timely manner
Regular washing of vehicle to include removal of cement build-up on all exterior parts of tractor and trailer
Work in a safe manner following all DOT, OSHA, MSHA and CPC safety guidelines
Report all incidents/accidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management
Education
High school diploma or GED
Requirements/Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with doubles endorsement and a >clean driving record
Experience driving a tractor and 2 trailer combination commercial vehicle
Experience operating pneumatic controls
Current DOT medical certificate
Work varying shifts with varying start and stop times and available on weekends when needed
Must be able to work cooperatively with others
Efficient time management
Use radio to communicate with company personnel
Must be able to speak, read and write in English
Motions: climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, lifting (up to 75 lbs.
), stretching, driving/sitting and shifting gears
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Can be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
