*POSITION OVERVIEW – WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING* * Troubleshooting and quality control of Indoor and outdoor electrical systems, including electrical panels, ballasts, resistors, general lighting, parking lot pole lights, building wall packs and flood lights and motor controls.
* Read and interpret electrical blueprints or technical drawings for repair and installation of new electrical systems, run conduit, and wire/terminate devices.
* Install and management of lighting controls * Perform routine maintenance on various systems as requested, and conduct all repairs and installations according to code * Ensure proper functioning and safety of all lighting and electrical systems.
* Respond to service calls within an expected timeframe.
* Occasionally Drive Boom trucks safely to and from customer locations.
* Occasionally Operate boom lifts safely and efficiently for parking lot lights and other lighting maintenance tasks as required.
* Notify management of inventory of equipment and materials to maintain appropriate basic lighting and electrical gear needed for daily tasks.
* Complete all assigned tasks within the given timeframes.
* Interface with customers on equipment, materials, services, and appointments.
* Log appointment statuses using company app on a company smart phone/tablet including dispatch, arrivals, notes, tags, photos, documents and work completion.
* Follow all safety procedures and protocols according to DOT and OSHA regulations.
*WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE* * California State Journeyman license required (or in the process of obtaining one) * Proficiency in NEC * Experience working with up to 480 volts * Knowledge of HID, Compact Fluorescent, LED, Linear Fluorescent, HPs, High pressure sodium and LP lights * Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial and industrial projects * Certification to operate both boom trucks and boom lifts is necessary, but we will assist in obtaining lift certification if needed.
* Valid Class C CDL Driver’s license.
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with air brake endorsement is a plus * Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test.
* Ability to pass background check * Ability to communicate professionally in English * Ability to work independently and efficiently.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* * Ability to lift, push, pull and move moderately heavy objects, 50 lbs on average * Standing, stooping, walking frequently * Sitting for long periods while driving company trucks * Company uniform and PPE required * Ability to work on ladders and lifts at various heights.
*POSTION PAY AND HOURS EXPECTED* *This is a full-time position that requires M – F with occasional weekend, overtime, and holiday work.
We can accommodate reasonable shift requests.
* *Pay Range: $25 - $40 Hourly, non- exempt.
*Starting pay ranges vary based upon qualifications, experience and licensing.
