Regional Materials Manager
As the Regional Materials Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations within the West Coast region.
Based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of material planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics to ensure seamless operations and efficient utilization of resources.
Your strategic insight and operational expertise will contribute to the company’s overall success by enhancing cost-effectiveness, minimizing waste, and improving service.
You will be a key contributor in the development and implementation of the RiteScreen Business System: we continue to grow our business, and the scope of this role will include new start-up locations in Sacramento, CA and Portland, OR.
The role reports directly to the Plant Manager and requires approximately 30% travel.
Job Responsibilities:
Materials Management
Organizes, coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies throughout the plant in support of production and shipping schedules.
Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records.
Develops production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
Leads in sales, inventory, and operations planning.
Maintains the PFEP (Plan for Every Part), working closely with corporate to improve data accuracy and to lower inventories.
Leads cycle counting process and month end inventories.
Performs root cause analysis of variances.
Manages replenishment of all production materials and shipping supplies.
Places purchase orders and manages supplier deliveries.
Manages the Quality Assurance department.
Performs root cause analysis to assist in the implementation of sustained change.
Compiles information on defective materials and works with RiteScreen supply chain to ensure corrective action is taken with vendors.
Lean & Project Management
Drives change and improvements in material flow from receiving through production to shipping.
Will participate in and lead Kaizen events to improve the value streams within the plant.
Collaborates with corporate engineering teams to implement process improvements.
Supports the onboarding of new customer accounts within the region.
BOM and transaction analysis using enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
Will be a key contributor to the development of the perpetual inventory system and other RiteScreen Business System components.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
Candidates should possess 7 or more years of experience in materials management, procurement or supply chain operations.
Proficiency in utilizing inventory management software, ERP systems, and MS Office suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will be discussed openly in the interview phase.
