Backhoe Operator/Dump Truck Driver

*Position Summary:* We are looking for a *Heavy Equipment Operator/CDL Class A Driver *(Backhoe/Dump truck experience required) to join our growing and award winning team.
This position will require the candidate to haul a trailer behind a dump truck and operate a backhoe in various job sites throughout Southern California.
*Classification:* Non-Exempt (Hourly) *Essential Functions/Responsibilities:* * Must be able to efficiently and safely operate equipment such as a Backhoe, and Dump Truck.
* Ability to haul a trailer behind a dump truck.
* Safely operate and maneuver CDL Class A dump trucks to transport materials to and from job sites.
* Load, unload, and secure materials onto the truck bed efficiently and safely.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
* Maintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment.
* Follow direction of the Superintendent with regards to daily production schedule and activities.
*Qualifications*: * Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
* 3 plus years experience.
* Considerable skill in manipulating the equipment and constant attention to safety of operation, in order to prevent accidents.
* Ability to lift heavy objects.
* Walk/Stand for long periods of time.
* Perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor elements.
* Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime when needed.
