What to Expect
The Construction Carpenter, Residential Energy Service will be part of Tesla Energy Residential Service Team.
The Construction Carpenter will work collaboratively with team members and individually to successfully complete various forms of residential construction maintenance service projects.
The ideal candidate will continuously model Tesla standards for excellence and adhere to policy compliance, meeting quality standards, safety protocols, and achieving efficiency goals.
What You’ll Do
Complete various scopes of residential construction projects including, but not limited to, dry-wall, texture match, dry-rot repair, painting, roofing, structural framing, and electrical work, as needed
Calculate material takeoffs, perform all aspects of repair, and adhere to project completion timelines
Interface directly with Internal Scheduling Teams, Tesla Management and Tesla Energy Customer base
Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain templates for operational flow efficiency and standards for future projects
Maintain high quality of safety and construction standards
Attend weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, service methodology, and safety
Perform other related duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in the construction and solar industries, such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
Must be able to climb and utilize equipment on site including various ladders rated for a maximum capacity of 325lbs
Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field as needed to complete objectives with as little impact to the customer and have the ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
Must be able to work at great heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders, and stairs and work prolonged periods of repetitious physical duties including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and other computer software systems/applications
Excellent attendance is essential achieve success with the ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
Minimum of 3 year of general construction experience up to Journeyman level experience in all phases of Residential Construction
Travel is mandatory and will vary dependent on business need.
Employees must be able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time, several times a year, to various locations within the US.
A valid Driver’s License is required

28/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
