The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa is a AAA Four Diamond hotel that is looking for a Revenue Manager who will develop marketing strategies and oversee the revenue and reservations team in their daily activities.
They will manage and optimize the reservations activities and ensure that guest service is top priority.
This role is the top revenue position in the hotel and is responsible for managing the hotel's revenue-related strategies, achieving and exceeding the hotel's RevPAR Index and RevPAR goals.
This role will lead by example, be hands on, and uplift staff while ensuring the operation runs smoothly.
*Hospitality Background Required.
* *Responsibilities*: * Oversee and manage the revenue cycle process, including billing, collections, and cash application * Prepare and analyze financial reports to monitor revenue performance and identify trends or areas for improvement * Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements * Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to revenue and investigate any discrepancies * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for revenue optimization * Manage the payroll process and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees * Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices * Utilize financial management software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or other relevant systems *Requirements*: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Hospitality Background Required * Proven experience as a Revenue Manager or similar role * Strong knowledge of financial report writing and analysis * Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks or PeopleSoft * Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex financial data * Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation and financial auditing processes *Mission Inn Hotel & Spa* *is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
