*SUMMARY*
The *Accounting Payable Clerk* is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payables.
They also track purchase orders and process payments that come into the company's accounting department from suppliers/ vendors.

* Reviews paperless repository system for three-way match of purchase order, invoice and receiving report.
* Diligently researches and obtains missing items from co-workers to allow invoices to be paid timely.
* Ensures purchases are coded to the proper general ledger account.
* Facilitates vendor payment and communicates daily with vendors to quickly resolve discrepancies or obtain missing documentation that would allow invoices to be paid.
* Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly vendor statements and transactions when necessary.
* Keeps Controller apprised of cashflow needs to pay vendors within terms.
* Looks for ways to improve and streamline the A/P process and make any recommendations to Accounting Manager.
* Participates in the check disbursement process and mailing of checks.
* Provides support to others in the accounting team, which could involve administrative tasks.
* Ability to learn quickly, maintain accuracy, and process payables efficiently.
* Displays a sense of urgency with assigned workload and can multi-task to help others with ad hoc requests
*Education/Additional Requirements*:
* 3-5 years or more of related experience required.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office software including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
* High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
* Ability to build relationships with customers and internal departments.
* Experience with AP Automation process flow.
* Experience with ERP systems.
*Physical Requirements*:
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
