We are looking for a full-time Accountant to assist with day-to-day operations.
*Please note, this position is mostly remote, but does require the ability to come into the office occasionally.
Office time is negotiable depending on location, however the preferred candidate must be located in Southern California with the ability to travel to one of our locations in Granada Hills, Santa Ana, or San Diego.

Responsibilities:
* Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
* Perform regular financial analysis.
* Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments.
* Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees including management accountants and internal auditors.
* Supervise all audit and internal control processes.
* Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance for the Board of Directors.
* Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
* Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
* Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
* Process billing and payroll through Paycom.
* Generate financial reports to directors to support them in understanding any billing or payroll discrepancies.
* Maintain and monitor monthly account analysis and reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts and resolving reconciling items and issues noted in a timely manner.
* Preparing various audit schedules as requested.
* Document financial transactions by entering account information.
* Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
* Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting operations.
* Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
* Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
* Protect company operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
* Minimum of three years’ relevant experience working in accounting.
* Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills of transactional accounting experience using QuickBooks Online.
* Thorough understanding of the non-profit sector is required.
* Detail-oriented with high productivity; experience with multiple corresponding deadlines.
* Strong organization and writing skills.
* Computer and technology skills to promote remote management.
* Knowledge of Paycom and eRSP is a plus.
