*Overview* The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the financial reporting, all daily and period-end accounting activities, performing general ledger analysis, cash management, cash, assisting with preparing financial items, and analyzing monthly and year-end budget variances.
Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports that are used companywide for reporting, analysis, and planning.
The Staff Accountant will also interface with independent auditors, internal associates, and regulatory agencies.

The Senior Accountant will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
*Responsibilities* The Senior accountant's responsibilities will include: • Perform daily accounting activities, cash management, and coordination of accounts receivable and payable.
• Daily Cash Management.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations • Liaises with external auditors and provides requested information on time.
• Monitor our rental portfolio.
• Collaborate with Chief Financial Officer on monthly cash flow forecasting.
• Maintain journal entries and perform general ledger analysis • Under the supervision of the CFO perform quarterly and year-end closings and prepare supporting work papers for balance sheet and income statement accounts • Manage the Loan Servicing Portfolio • Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary • Conduct regular ledger maintenance • Assist with contract administration functions • Create reporting templates and formulate analysis using applications such as Excel • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention • Manage all aspects of Payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
• Assist the CFO with some aspects of Human Resources • Assist with Building Operations • Other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications* • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online • 2+ years’ experience in general, experience in nonprofit accounting preferred (not required) Willing to train the right candidate.
• Federal and local housing agency reporting experience preferred (not required) • Excellent analytical skills • Proficiency in MS Excel • Clear communicator with the ability to interact with the CFO and other members of the Organization.
• Superior organizational multi-tasking skills • Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation *Compensation and Employment Information* Annual compensation ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This position offers full-time employment with a regular Monday through Friday schedule and occasional evening and weekend work as required.
