Summary:
The Direct Bill Manager is responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating the functions of the Direct Bill Commissions department.
Key responsibilities include building and developing a team that lives the HFC Purpose of being a trusted partner to both our clients and each other.
The team is primarily responsible for Managing Direct Bill Commission Production and Revenue for Property & Casualty, and Benefits business, in various Broker Management system(s), GL system(s) and any additionally acquired systems.
The team ensures commissions are processed and recorded for all Direct Bill Receipts in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with company policies.
This position is also responsible for the team’s delivery of accurate, timely, and efficient work-product coupled with strong customer service.
Responsibilities: Oversee the recording, accuracy, and reporting of direct bill commissions in accordance with company policies.
Monitor all exception processes including resolution of direct bill cash receipts without matching production and vice versa.
Ensure department performance is within approved metrics, through oversight, review, refinement, and monitoring of SLAs and KPIs.
Optimize direct bill commission processes with a lens of continuous improvement through a combination of onshore and offshore teams, as well as available technology.
Ensure strong internal controls around processes, transactions and balances.
Continue to cultivate a culture of high engagement, continuous leadership and technical development.
Contribute to a cooperative team environment in which cross functions are assumed as necessary in order to meet department deadlines and goals.
Oversee audit preparation and deliverable quality for internal and external audits.
Key liaison to internal and offshore partners for direct bill process functions and projects Build and maintain positive working relationships with client service operations and markets.
Serve as escalation path to client service teams for urgent or mishandled transactions.
Analyze, research and resolve complex problems.
Lead, coach, develop, evaluate and monitor the team.
Provide direct support to Insurance Accounting Senior Manager and other leadership as required.
Required experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance Requires at least 5 years’ experience in accounting field.
Requires at least 5 years managerial experience.
Experience managing departments with multiple teams is preferred Experience in a shared services accounting environment is a plus.
