The District Attorney of Riverside County has a vacancy for a Principal Accountant located in Riverside.
The Principal Accountant will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the fiscal, accounting, and auditing activities of the Riverside County District Attorney's office.
This includes directing the creation, maintenance, and review of financial and accounting records, supervising the preparation of intricate reports, and managing high-level budgets across various levels.
Ideal candidates for this role should have experience using the complete Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
Additionally, familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials, RivcoPro, and the Sherpa Budgeting system is preferred.
Competitive candidates will also possess knowledge of Government Accounting Standards (GASB), County Revolving Funds, and financial experience within a law enforcement agency.
Those who can prepare budget proposals and related budget journals in PeopleSoft are strongly encouraged to apply.
This class has been deemed eligible for the Performance Recognition Plan as set forth under Article 3, Section 311(C) of the County Management Resolution.
