Shared Services: Finance - (Full-time, Day Shift) -

The Accountant Senior coordinates the monthly General Ledger journal entries, account reconciliations and other related tasks, primarily within an organizational division within LLUH including the University, Hospital and Shared Services.
Maintains financial statements for accounts of advanced nature utilizing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Reviews the work of other Accountants.
Analyzes assigned accounts.
Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
Minimum four years of experience in accounting in healthcare, higher education, not-for-profit, public accounting or a combination of those environments required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other accounting guidance specific to higher education and healthcare.
Able to identify and communicate accounting and internal control issues.
Able to read, write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.
g.
, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction.
