Job Summary and Qualifications Our Clinical Lab Scientists performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the procedures in one or more areas of the Clinical Laboratory.
Obtains specimens, prepares and/or maintains reagents and supplies, and calibrates and maintains equipment.
Adheres to policies and procedures as directed by the Supervising Clinical Laboratory Scientist and Administrative Director.

According to established procedures and policies You will perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, interpret results as to their accuracy, acceptability and critical limits and organizes work to meet established deadlines and record all data obtained You will work actively and be cooperative with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care as well as assist with regulatory compliance What qualifications you will need: Must be licensed by the State of California as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or California License in Microbiology or Blood Bank BA or BS degree as required by California Law One year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist is preferred Clinical Laboratory Scientist I; prefer minimum one-year experience in an acute care licensed facility New graduates will be considered after a successful passage of California State Board Exam Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901.
It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County.
The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
