I have my 2005 Subaru Forester XT up for sale as a project or a parts car (selling whole car , NOT parting it out).
I have owned this car for about 6 years, it has been well taken care of, has a LOT of newer parts and work that was done to it since my ownership.
It was at the auto shop getting a diagnosis of ruff running engine when it was damaged by the heavy snowstorm we had here in February! Over 18 other vehicles were damaged.
The Forester will hold a salvaged title but most older Subarus carry a salvage title.
This XT was recently totaled by my insurance company due to "Year and Milage" after being cosmetically damaged in the heavy snow storm we got in late February.
The pictures show the damage from the storm; 2 broken mirrors, broken rear wiper arm, cracked the sunroof glass, put a small dent on the hood/roof/fenders/ and both driverside doors were dented.
The interior is very nice for the age , all leather, heated seats, premium options including a 6 disc in dash CD changer.
The car is the XT Premium model with every upgrade option from factory.
The car has about 185k miles on the chassis, and at 170k miles the Engine (only 15k miles now) had the heads rebuilt / New head gaskets / New exhaust Cams / All new engine seals on lower-end / New Turbocharger/ New Alternator / New Timing Belt Kit / New Radiator / new Belts & Hoses / new water pump / All New Filters / New Heavy-duty font Axles / Transmission flush and I'm sure there is more I'm missing.
Drivability: Does NOT Run at the moment.
It does drive and shift very nice (when running correctly.
Right now it was running ruff and may or may not start at times.
When it starts it runs a little ruff but has no power.
It had lots of power before!!
I have a total of 3 sets of wheels for this, roof racks / cargo privacy shade not pictured that all can go with the car.
Has a set of 2016 Forester XT wheels, set of 2005 Steel wheels and the set that is on the car in pictures.
No Battery
All paperwork will need to be completed by you to get the new salvage title, but I can sign the car over to you after payment, with the original pinkslip in hand , my name on title and a bill of sale from me , to you !
Will be a nice fix for someone mechanically inclined or who is good at light bodywork, or make a great project for off-road or to put back for regular street use, maybe a parts car for you, commuter car, gas saver, 1st car.
