Barista

PART TIME POSITION Local Coffee Bar & Take Ur Seat Too in Ontario, CA is looking for a couple of baristas to join our 39 person strong team.
We are located on 4275 Concours St.
Suite 130.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and our food, teachable, team player, motivated, and hard-working.
Responsibilities • Welcome guests by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering their questions.
• Create a culture of family and warmness • Working together with other restaurant/coffee bar staffs to create a safe working & learning community • Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso based drinks (cappuccino, lattes), drip and cold brew.
• Sell retail coffee beans and other merchandises • Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bar supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining inventory, paper goods, cooking homemade syrups, making cold brew for coffee bar.
• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining cleaning supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
• Keep entire work area neat and clean including bussing tables, wiping tables and chairs, sweeping/cleaning floors and bathroom • Picking up the phone, putting food / coffee order into POS, running food / drinks, have a basic knowledge of our food menu, seating guests / taking orders when necessary • Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude • Issue bills and accept payment • All other duties as assigned Qualifications *Previous barista / specialty coffee experiences are preferred but not required *Previous food and beverage working experiences are preferred but not required *High integrity with a great attendance record *Strong attention to detail *Ability to listen and communicate effectively We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week.
Compensation is $16.
