*Job Duties and Responsibilities* * Warmly welcome walk-in and phone guests with genuine enthusiasm, promptly assisting them to understand their interests and needs, and follow NbC SWEET Steps of Service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
* Maintain product knowledge about cake sizes, flavors, pricing, promotions and retail merchandise.
* Processes guest orders accurately utilizing point-of-sale system and invites guests to join NbC Email Club.
* Keep the bakery clean and organized utilizing the cleaning checklists.
* Replenish retail merchandise and the cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation.
* Assemble cake orders according to NbC cake decorating and presentation standards.
* Prepare cake decorations, boxes, bows, bags, and other packaging materials in advance to ensure supplies are readily available.
* Follow NbC frosting recipe and application methods while achieving productivity goals.
* Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes.
* Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards.
* Performs routine cleaning of windows, shelves, counters, refrigerator, cooler and bathroom.
* Gathers and removes garbage, sweeps and mops floors, and cleans floor drains.
* Manually wash, rinse and sanitize baking pans, dishes, utensils and other tools in a thorough and timely manner and adheres to food handling standards.
* Assist in receiving and storing weekly deliveries from suppliers.
* Monitor inventory levels of supplies and notify management when restocking is necessary.
* Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures, including adhering strictly to the dress code.
* Ability to shift job duties and responsibilities.
