is seeking an experienced *Software Quality Assurance Tester *who will work closely with a county department and IT team using their analytical and coding skills to locate, troubleshoot, and repair procedural issues that lead to code flaws and application bugs.
This is an *onsite 12-month contract.
* You must be in the US, no H1B Visa status.
The selected candidate will need to complete their LiveScan in San Bernardino County.
*Responsibilities:*
* Running and testing new apps and software.
* Executing all levels of QA tests: System, Integration, and Regression.
* Developing test design, test process, test data, test automation, and test cases and prioritizing test activities.
* Analyzing the system and ensuring the test strategy is aligned with the requirements of the development process.
* Executing and clearly documenting test plans (not just the test cases) for the module covering all aspects of testing for software quality.
* Identifying bugs and creating reports to highlight the status of all modules.
* Updating all bug databases with accurate and complete information.
* Running debug programs to fix defects.
* Coordinating with the development team to create effective test plans and strategies.
* Making improvements to the system throughout the software development phase.
* Dealing with the maintenance of test environments.
* Coordinating project efforts with varying degrees of complexity, deadlines, goals, etc.
* Ability to work independently and in team environment.
*Experience and Education:*
*Required: *
* Minimum of 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in as a QA Engineer, Software Tester or similar role.
* Strong understanding of Software Development methodologies like Agile, Defect Management System, Quality Assurance and documentation.
* Experience with writing test plans, scripts and performing manual testing.
* Proficient in test management software.
* Experience with GIT, Azure Boards, and CI/CD.
* Good understanding of Database testing SQL.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills.
* Good working knowledge of programming languages.
* Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
*Highly Desirable: *
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
* Professional certifications like ISTQB and CTFL.
* Understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT.
* Experience with Azure Boards.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $57.
70 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
