Description: JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a talented, diligent Senior Engineer, System to maintain and administer our company's infrastructure and cloud presence.
The Senior Engineer, System’s responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all computing/network operations run with optimal performance and security.
To be successful as a Senior Engineer, System, you should have an excellent ability to solve problems using your in-depth understanding of information systems and computing solutions.
The best Senior Engineer, System will also be a team player, willing to handle all support requests with courtesy and professionalism, manage projects within its timeline and excel in communication.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
Solid understanding of layer2&3 network/routing protocols.
Manage Office 365, Azure cloud computing and AD Connect.
Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary.
Lead server/network, desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system.
Providing technical support when requested.
Documenting any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system.
Liaising with 3rd party vendors, IT providers, etc.
Requirements: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Azure Enterprise Apps/SSO provisioning Cisco IOS/XE Netgate pfsense Firewalls Cloud computing Virtualization Office 365 SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams SIP Windows 2019/2022 Active Directory/Azure AD Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols Experience with scripting and automation tools EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in Information systems or information technology.
Microsoft certification or similar.
Minimum 8 years of administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude.
