```Job Summary```
We are seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our team.
As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and services.
Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will ensure the smooth operation of our fleet and the timely delivery of shipments.
```Duties```
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including assigning drivers and vehicles to routes, order escorts and possible permits, preparing Bill of ladings for the shipments
- Monitor driver progress and provide updates to customers regarding delivery status
- Communicate with drivers to ensure efficient operations
- Utilize transportation management systems and GPS technology to track shipments
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules, and driver due dates for compliance
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation operations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints in a timely manner
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred but we are willing to train
- Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and record keeping in Excel and word
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- we send a lot of emails
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle high call volumes
- Knowledge of fleet management principles and practices- willing to train
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
