Hippo needs a foster so he can get out of the kennels- could it be you? Looking for an animal lover who want to help a shelter dog in need.
This is a rewarding way to make a little extra cash every month! Do you have a stable living environment with a fenced-in yard? Do you love dogs and feel comfortable around big strong dogs? Hippo has been in our rescue for a long time- living in a kennel environment.
He is just waiting for a foster to open up their heart and their home.
He is SO LOVING and affectionate with all people.
He is a misunderstood guy because he is BIG (100LBS) and currently very reactive to other dogs and cats and critters.
He is very strong so he needs a strong handler who is comfortable with big dogs.
He has been muzzle-trained, so he needs a foster that will continue this training.
Our behavior team can help you with video call training lessons.
He doesn't like being left alone all day so someone who works from home would be ideal.
HERE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS (if you don't meet these requirements then please don't apply) 1.
NO OTHER PETS IN THE HOME 2.
FENCED-IN YARD OR FENCED-IN OUTDOOR SPACE.
MUST BE SECURED WITH HIGH FENCE 3.
NO YOUNG KIDS.
Hippo is big strong and not safe around young kids 4.
MUST BE AN ANIMAL LOVER THAT IS WILLING TO HELP WITH HIPPO'S TRAINING.
Hippo is very sweet and loving but continued training in a home environment will help him be more adoptable.
WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE AS HIPPO'S FOSTER: 1.
$200/month 2.
All supplies and medication (crate, bed, food, treats, toys, leash, collar, training tools etc) and anything else you need for Hippo (refills as needed) 3.
All vet care 4.
Training support from our team of trainers MINIMUM 3 MONTH COMMITMENT.
**If you go on vacation we will find a temporary foster for him.
