Responsible for executing job assignments in the most efficient, safest, and most professional way possible.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform pre-trip inspection check to include tire air pressure and fluids in the truck and a brake inspection
Must be able to climb in and out of his/her truck.
Must be able to walk-up staircase to get to the office to check in at work.
Must be able to hook up to a trailer or drop a trailer and be able to crank up and down the landing gear.
On occasion, driver must unload trailer with a power lift truck which could be up to twenty-two (22) pallets.
Must check how many pallets are loaded on his/her truck and sign for the product.
If pallet(s) are broken, the driver would need to be able to restack product onto good pallets.
Follow all safety regulations and precautions.
Drives truck in a safe manner at all times, always wears seat belt.
Keep in close contact with dispatcher, assuring that dispatcher knows location at all times.
Position Requirements:
Commercial Drivers License
Driver must be able to operate a manual 10 speed transmission to safely shift gears as he/she is driving.
Acceptable driving record.
Availability to work long hours (10 - 13 hours per day), Monday - Friday.
Lift/Carry up to 25 lbs.
