About the Job
We have local drivers in NC and in CA who do most of the pickups and deliveries.
Our Local CA Drivers earn an average of .
50 - .
55 CentsPerMile (depends on the experience) in a radius of 500 miles, extra stop bonus of $50 and have increasing rates based on performance, as well as a bonus package.
Average earnings $1,200 - $1,500 per week + Bonuses
Requirements:
Class A CDL License & valid medical card
Preferable living area radius: 90 miles
MVR and PSP records should be reasonably clean
Not prohibited in DOT Clearinghouse
Negative drug test results
No major convictions on the Criminal background check
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a variety of trucks and heavy equipment
Load and unload materials or equipment onto trucks
Follow specific routes and schedules for efficient delivery of goods
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors to report any issues or delays in delivery
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
Experience operating heavy equipment.
Familiarity with different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dry vans, flatbed or reefer.
Skills and qualifications:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A
Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and vehicles in various weather conditions
Strong understanding of route planning and navigation systems
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
Attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and reporting

Drivers are set up as independent contractors.
