*Job description*
We are looking for a Assistant Teacher to work with our autism population in a new Art Studio in Redlands, CA.
Impact Art Studio is a community-based program for individuals with autism and/or developmentally delayed.
Impact Art Studio teaches various Art Techniques and is designed for individuals who want to further there visual arts education.
This program offers drawing, painting, mixed media, ceramics, mosaic, crafts, and printmaking.
The program also provides trips to the museums, galleries, and artists’ studios.
We also exhibit artwork for sale and work on a portfolio.
Program hours currently are 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Work hours will be approx.
4-5 hours daily.
*Duties to Includes*
* Responsible for assistance of the teaching artist and participation artist in various art techniques.
* Must for proficient in Visual Arts and have the ability to teach.
* Work closely with parents, care providers, transportation services, case workers, and others in the community.
* Ability to implement and carry out social services through individualized case management.
* Proficient critical thinking, with strong analytical, communicative, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to complete necessary ongoing documentation through report writing, computer generated documents, ongoing daily notifications, program letters, and other correspondences
* Work cohesively within the Administrative Team which includes attending all corporate meetings, trainings, and in-services.
* Must possess a strong work ethic with excellent motivational team building skills.
Be self-motivated, have the ability to motivate others, be competent, positive, flexible, and versatile.
* Ability to coordinating, scheduling, and facilitating all Inland Regional Center Quarterly, Semi Annual, Annual, IDT Consumer Meetings
* Ability to assistant with maintenance of assigned documentation, files, charts, rosters, and data regarding program participants/ staff as outlined in Title 17/22.
* Seek out and implement pre-vocational job training sites, and activities that build pre-vocational / independent consumer skills.
Encourages all consumers / staff to work on identified goals through incentive programs and encouragement.
* Reports, interviews, investigates all incidents strange / unusual or suspected abuse / neglect to all parties immediately with follow up as mandated.
* Responsible for reviewing staff consumer daily notes, weekly contracts, and other program documentation while making necessary recommendations if and when needed
* Additional work responsibilities consist of and are not limited to the completion of program monthly computerized billing, ongoing program maintenance, monthly shopping and delivery of food and program supply items, ordering of supplies, scheduling repairs/ cleanings, vending machines, preparation, and submission of monthly itemized budgets, etc.
* Responsible for making sure that all staff are respecting the rights and dignity of all consumers, and those in the workplace.
*Requirements:*
* Two (2) year of experience in a human services delivery system working with individuals with autism and/or developmentally delayed
* Three (3) years of experience in teaching art to individuals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.
