*Teaching and Learning*
* Prepares lesson plans, current seating charts, and classroom procedures for substitute teachers.
* Uses a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to present material in an interesting, stimulating, and effective manner.
* Collaborates with the Special Education team to meet the needs of all students.
* Identifies student's areas for improvement and create opportunities for improvement through interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Works with the Principal and Assistant Principal to ensure teaching methods are directed towards meeting and surpassing the standards.
* Provides continual assessment and accurate tracking of student progress, maintains student work records and portfolios, and completes assigned paperwork in provided timeframes.
* Conducts both student and teacher led parent conferences.
* Consistently implements required and appropriate adaptations and modifications for English Learners, Special Education students, and 504 students.
* Attends and participates in Student Success Team, Parent/Teacher Advisory Council, and other school-based meetings and activities as well as professional development training.
* Assumes supervision duties as determined by the site and may occasionally be asked to substitute a period.

*Additionally, experience in the following areas is helpful:*
* Experience teaching in an urban public school or charter school setting.
* Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
* At least two years of experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
Minimum Requirements:
* California Multiple subject Credential.
