*SUMMARY OF POSITION*: Dynamic Hope Schools is a nonpublic school for students 6-22 yrs old with special needs/disabilities and may have challenging behaviors.
The duties of this position include supervising students in the classroom, assisting with instruction needs, supervising while on playground and during entire school day.
The position will include an AM or a PM shift working as a van aide supervising students while on a route.
You are able to choose an AM route working as an Aide starting out in the early morning (7am depending on the route) and then working in the classroom as an aide.
Or working in the classroom as an Aide which begins at 9am to 3:00pm and then working as an Aide on a route which begins at 3:00pm and ends anywhere from 5pm to 6pm (depending on the route).
The transportation aide along with the classroom aide provides employees with a full time Monday through Friday position.

*DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *Experience working with special needs students in a classroom setting assisting with school-based instruction and behavioral management.
High school education or equivalent required.
*WORK HOURS*: Classroom hours may vary based on campus instructional hours, generally 5 1/2 hours plus route hours, Monday through Friday.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*: The essential duties of the position include but are not limited to: • Assist teaching staff in the instruction, direct supervision and behavioral management (in classroom and other areas as required) of an individual student; or at times a small group of students.
• Implement lesson plans as designed by teacher; support in the delivery of instruction for assigned student or students.
• Communicate measurable learning objectives and guide assigned student toward mastery of goals.
• Utilize instructional techniques and appropriate instructional material as determined by classroom teacher.
• Assist in tracking and the completion of course work.
• Maintain student supervision at all times including transition, P.
E.
and transportation periods.
• Understand the goals and objectives outlined in the assigned student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and if they have one, their Behavior Support Plan (BSP).
Review these plans with the teacher.
• Systematically record and graph data specific to assigned student regarding overall instructional progress, achievement of IEP goals, behavioral incidents, baseline behavior and other information as required.
The behavioral team will provide instructions and guidelines.
• Follow all policies for classroom procedures.
• Complete One-to-One Aide log on a daily and weekly basis, accurately and meeting deadlines.
• Complete incident reports within specified time requirements, as needed.
• Based on student assignment, may attend to hygiene needs including toileting and dressing, as required by specific student, (changing of diapers).
• Will be asked to work as an aide on a van route either in the AM or PM.
• Proper implementation of Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-Act) techniques, as needed.
• Attend trainings as required by Dynamic Hope Schools.
• Adhere to policies and procedures found in the Dynamic Hope Schools Employee Handbook.
