Position Information
Reporting to the Chair and Financial & Administrative Officer (FAO) to provide critical high-level administrative and professional support to the Department of Botany and Plant Sciences administrative unit.
This role includes the responsibility for managing all space needs within the department, including the space survey, assignment of graduate student offices, facility requests, and handling office equipment needs, including assisting with the annual equipment inventory report.
This position will also reallocate Procurement Card purchases; organize and assist in planning department events; seminar speaker travel arrangements; provide administrative support for Summer Session course offerings; and complete special projects assigned by the Financial & Administrative Officer (FAO) and Department Chair.
The full salary range for the Department Chair Assistant is $27.
29 - $39.
12 per hour.
However, the expected pay scale for this position is $27.
29 - $30.
60 per hour.
