Position Information
The Executive Analyst & Coordinator to the Dean provides support to the Dean of the College of Natural and Agricultural Science and serves as an administrative resource to the college’s management team.
The incumbent will function as the gatekeeper to the dean and prioritize issues according to urgency, allocating time for events, travel, and meetings within the dean’s office and serve as the initial point of contact for a wide variety of issues presented to the dean and dean’s office (both internal and external).
The Executive Analyst & Coordinator to the Dean will evaluate which issues can be managed without the dean’s direct involvement and resolve them based on a thorough understanding of the Dean's priorities and expectations.
The incumbent determines courses of action, coordinates with all responsible parties, arranges meetings, and sets agendas on behalf of the Dean.
Prepares and reviews communication materials; ensures the Dean is fully briefed on relevant issues and prepares all background information supporting each matter.
The incumbent will prepare, proofread, and/or edit correspondences on behalf of the dean and/or dean’s office requiring a strong business-writing acumen.
Coordinates leadership meetings with the Dean’s management team, faculty, and staff, and participates on task forces, as assigned; responsible for developing and distributing agendas, conducting research, recording meeting highlights, tracking action items, and initiating follow-up, as needed.
The incumbent handles highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.
Composes clear, grammatically correct, and concise correspondence.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional and collaborative working environment.
Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidence, tact, and decisiveness while working under the pressure of constantly changing priorities, unanticipated urgent demands, and multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
The full salary range for the Executive Analyst & Coordinator to Dean is $71,100 - $128,700 annually.
However, the expected pay scale for this position is $85,500 to $114,300 annually.
We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
