After School Music Academy provides enrichment classes all over California.
We aim to help kids and young adults gain confidence through creativity by introducing them to music and other performing arts and by giving them a dedicated time and space to enrich their imaginations.
We are primarily looking for a Teaching Apprentice who loves working with kids to join our team!
As a Teaching Apprentice with After School Music Academy, you will be-
* Assisting/Shadowing Ukulele/Guitar, Piano and Drums after school classes at elementary, middle and high schools in the Hisperia region.
* Assist/shadow the lead instructor in implementing fun and creative activities in order to make learning enjoyable for the students.
* Help the lead instructor with a performance showcase at the end of a session or semester.
* Opportunities to begin teaching as an instructor at an increased pay scale.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, you must have-
* Willingness to work with kids in a classroom group setting, past experience is a plus
* Proficiency in one of the listed instruments, an ability to teach multiple instruments is preferred
* Reliable transportation
* Uninterrupted and on-time availability for teaching hours
* Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Music
* A willingness to learn and grow, and the flexibility to adapt to new changes
* A good grasp of classroom management skills is a plus
* A clear background check.
A Live Scan(fingerprinting) and Tuberculosis test is required for this position

Pay: Assisting, shadowing, co-teaching, and any non-instructional work including attending the personal development training $20-25 per hour.
