General Description : The Assistant Principal of Student Success serves as part of the Administrative and Instructional Teams.
The AP is responsible for supporting the department’s administration as necessary by bringing evidence-based practices on campus with the goal of increasing student engagement, improving student achievement, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
The Assistant Principal promotes academic excellence through high-quality educational standards, consistent student discipline, collecting and tracking data, monitoring student growth, recommending curricular and intervention responses, and effectively implementing behavior incentive programs.
The AP oversees student support services and partnerships including classroom instructional aides, ASP to support students with IEPs and 504s, and collaborations with student care and campus safety.
This person actively oversees student events, promoting a culture of excellence and achievement.
UCA recognizes administration as integral part of the 5-fold ministry given to the church in Ephesians 4:11-13.
As such, UCA teachers serve as ministers to help advance the mission and vision of United Christian Academy.
Reports To : Elementary Principal Qualifications : Born-again Christian.
Credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrates obedience to God and the Holy Bible.
Possess strong Biblical knowledge, able to apply biblical principles to school instruction and administration.
Support and comply with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian Conduct.
Understanding and commitment to UC Academy’s educational objectives and philosophy of education.
Member of an evangelical, Bible-believing church.
Bachelor’s degree (required) with Master’s degree in Administration or Instructional Leadership/Curriculum Development preferred.
Completed at least one course in Christian philosophy of education.
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience with record of successfully impacting student achievement and working successfully with students who have the greatest needs.
Valid ACSI certification in teaching or school administration with clear state teaching license/credential.
Reading Specialist Certification encouraged.
Sufficient health and physical ability to be able to complete assigned duties.
Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communication.
Skills in teacher leadership (mentor, instructional coach, professional learning facilitator).
Strong pedagogical knowledge and content expertise.
Strong stance of empathy, acceptance, and growth mindset.
Ability to work independently with strong organization and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and engage respectfully with a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to employ technology and digital learning tools.
Ability to collect, analyze, and disaggregate data to serve as the basis for appropriate strategies.
Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues, including the ability to create and nurture a professional community of adult learners.
First Aid/CPR Certification.
TB clearance with the last four years.
Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance.
Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986: An Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) will be required along with the supporting documents listed on the I-9 form.

Educational Leadership Lead efforts to integrate a Christian worldview into all aspects of student learning and development.
Ensure that instructional program adequately prepares each student for the next level in their educational pursuit.
Promote the development of Christian virtues and leadership skills among students through school programs.
Create structures and processes for networking and collaboration that promotes an atmosphere of trust and builds on the shared expertise and responsibility of all.
Skillfully support professional development opportunities for building staff competencies when supporting students: 1:1, small group, and whole group.
Assist teachers in analyzing student data and designing differentiated instructional programs to meet the needs of ALL students based on student growth and achievement data.
Partner with student support teams (ex.
campus safety and student care) to ensure safety, supervision, and support of students.
Prioritize integrating technology into the curriculum to enhance student learning and engagement.
Oversee student events such as the ACSI Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, Speech Meet, and Eagle Enrichment programs, ensuring that these activities contribute to student development and enrich their educational experiences.
Collaborate on the development, implementation, and continuous updating of the school's curriculum guides/maps.
Assist in the accreditation process, especially over the student success components.
Administrative Leadership 1.
Assist principal(s) as needed to ensure that the daily operation of the school is smooth and orderly, operating by biblical standards and school policies.

Resolve conflicts and grievances in accordance with Matthew 18 and other school policies.
3.
Assist in the recruitment and selection of faculty and staff.
4.
Assist in student recruitment and admissions.
5.
Oversee instructional aide team, through regular meetings, observations, professional development, and administrative support.
6.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal(s).
ES Assistant Principal to support student discipline policy and help resolve discipline issues when necessary.
Work closely with ASP Director and staff, special education personnel, and outside resources to assist students with special needs.
Collaborate with the members of the Instructional Team to determine academic trends and instructional directions for K-12.
Informally observe classroom practice and gather data to assess strengths/weaknesses and use observation/data to individualize coaching interactions for the purpose of student success.
Participate in regularly scheduled grade-level, subject-specific, and team-planning sessions that focus on curriculum, instruction, and student work.
Work Schedule & Pay Scale: Academic school year plus 25 days.
Full-time equivalency: 1.
15 PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing/walking (60%), sitting (20%), lifting (5%), climbing (5%), bending (4%), squatting (6%).
Must be able to lift 10-25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment includes indoor and outdoor environments and office and classroom settings.
Floating desk assignment and/or shared office space may be required; moderate noise levels commensurate to a classroom environment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
