*Discipline: *Theater *Location:* Cucamonga School District (CSD) *Training Intensive Schedule (42 Hours): * In-person Days: 5/13, 5/21, 5/23 and 5/24; from 9am – 4pm Zoom Days: 5/15 and 5/17; from 10am – 2pm Asynchronous Work: 6 hours (5/14, 5/16, and 5/22) *Teaching Residency: *Multiple 4-week Residencies Available *Instructional Start Date:* June 2024 *Instructional Schedule: *2 days per week; 3 hours per day *Designation:* Part-time; Non-exempt *Pay Rate: *$25/hour *Position Overview:* Teaching Artists are equal parts professional artists and professional educators.
Teaching Artists are responsible for delivering high-quality, authentic, and engaging curriculum, that is inclusive, creative, and aspirational.

ARTS training + Think Together teaching residency for thier Accelerator Initiative is for those newer to the field of arts education as well as seasoned Teaching Artists looking to expand and deepen their practice.
As we move into a new era of education, we look to artists who will take the opportunity and challenge of designing new ways to deliver arts education.
*Teaching Artists selected for this position will be required to participate in and attend P.
S.
ARTS’ Training Intensive.
Training sessions will be both in-person and over Zoom, as well as include asynchronous completion of P.
S.
ARTS’ online coursework for a total of 42 hours before the first day of instruction.
*The training will provide background on P.
S.
ARTS’ methodology and a curriculum overview, creating a positive classroom culture, Universal Design for Learning, Social Emotional Learning, and Equity and Belonging.
_Teaching Artists’ primary responsibilities include the following:_ * Deliver and/or facilitate in-person arts instruction; * Deliver and/or facilitate sequential standards-based, differentiated curricula in the arts; * Implement classroom management techniques including routines and rules; * Prep, set-up, and clean-up of lessons, classrooms or carts; * Utilizing and making connections with California’s Framework for VAPA; * Documentation of teaching practice, including submission of rubrics and student work; * Attend and participate in P.
S.
ARTS’ trainings and professional development workshops; * Demonstrate implementation of new skills within teaching practice; * Represent P.
S.
ARTS among school community stakeholders, including classroom teachers, parents, administrators, and donors; * Respond to emails and other communication in a timely manner.

_ *Knowledge, Skills & Abilities* * Demonstrated experience of in-school (K-5th) teaching * Demonstrated knowledge and experience in teaching an arts discipline – dance, music, theater, or visual arts * Familiarity with California’s Framework for VAPA * Ability to work collaboratively in/out of a school environment and with school communities * Experience working in Title I designated schools and surrounding communities preferred * Fluency in Spanish preferred *Working Conditions:* _Teaching Artists are required to maintain a safe and clean classroom environment – physical or virtual, that promotes learning, creativity, and equity.
Teaching Artists may routinely:_ * Lift, push, or carry supplies, equipment, instruments, or classroom furniture up-to 40lbs.
* Bend, twist, reach, stand, and/or sit for long periods of time.
* View LCD screens for long periods of time.
* Work/teach outdoors.
* Work with video equipment and a comfort with recording and/or being recorded.
