Musical Minds Academy is a leading provider of music and performing arts enrichment classes across California.
Our mission is to nurture the creativity and confidence of children and young adults by introducing them to the world of music and the performing arts.
We provide a dedicated space for students to explore their imaginations and develop essential life skills.
We are looking for 1-2 part time music teacher(s), versed in ukulele and piano, for work in Riverside, CA at Riverside Unified School District elementary schools.
We highly value passionate and fun instructors that are comfortable working with children in grades K-6!
*Responsibilities*:
* Leading beginner Piano and Ukulele group lessons for elementary students in the Riverside area.
* Planning classes by assessing the needs of the schools and students you are assigned.
* Implementing fun and creative activities in order to make learning enjoyable for the students.
* Organizing a performance showcase at the end of the after school session.
*Experience:*
* Previous experience teaching kids of different ages and abilities in a group or private setting (2 years preferred).
* Proficiency in one of the listed instruments, an ability to teach multiple instruments is preferred.
* Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or learning differences
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable transportation
* Uninterrupted and on-time availability for teaching hours
Note: This job requires the selected candidate to undergo a LiveScan DOJ fingerprint background check, as well as submission of a Tuberculosis Test.
Experience in special education, childhood development, preschool, early childhood education, construction painting, culinary, behavior management, tutoring, theater, or classroom management is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.
