A fabulous sound from a very small Canadian company, built in 2005, father and son .
30W power, Sansui Transformers, sourced from Japan, spare tubes included.
There are no words to describe the sound, but you can listen to it, on my audiophile grade speakers, you can bring your own music or, gear to try it.
Here is part of add from Canuck Audio Mart, talking about Scarlett Audio:
"Scarlet Audio was a Canadian company from the early 2000's that produced hand-built, beautiful tube amplifiers, right in the Kitchener area of Ontario.
They aren't around now, but that probably is not a reflection on their quality, the information out there suggests that their Masterpiece stereo amp ($15,000.
00) and Pearl monoblocs ($12,000.
00?) were very well-regarded.
There is a photo on-line where the Pearl monoblocs exhibited at a show with the famous Merlin speakers.
The problem was probably more related to the very political nature of the Audio Business, and it's tough for a small company to break-in, regardless of the quality of their gear.
You just have to look at these amps to see that great care was taken to make them - see photos.
In any event, this shouldn't scare you off; they are after all, just tube amplifiers and any competent technician can repair them if you do something silly :-) or a tube blows unexpectedly.

I'm 70, which is fine , but so are my ears, downsizing, going digital only, it's enough for what I need to enjoy now.
