We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our team at.
As an Associate Attorney, you will play a crucial role in our firm by drafting legal documents, assisting with the discovery process, negotiating settlements, conducting preliminary hearings, performing legal research, making court appearances as necessary, and conducting initial consultations with potential clients.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assisting with the discovery process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions
- Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients
- Conducting preliminary hearings and presenting evidence in court
- Performing legal research to support case strategies and arguments
- Making court appearances as necessary, including attending hearings, trials, and other proceedings
- Conducting initial consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs and provide guidance
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- License to practice law
- Litigation experience, preferably in criminal law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred
- Highly organized and able to handle a high volume of cases
