Risk Compliance Officer

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location.
This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responsible for the Bank’s day to day management of the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management software and other programs/software utilized by the Bank in the management of enterprise risk governance activities and model governance.
Develop and deploy custom risk assessments to enhance the effectiveness of the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
Build, develop and annually update training materials and visual aids for the Bank’s ERM Program Develop business or process risk assessments, in conjunction with the business unit owner, as applicable, and deploy in the Bank’s enterprise risk management system.
Review Bank process risk assessments to ensure they appropriately capture the risk by Bank and by business unit.
Assess business or process internal control effectiveness, through the review of internal audits, regulatory examination reports, policies and procedures and internal monitoring to conclude and document the appropriateness of the results of the risk assessments – “effective challenge”.
Communicate with business unit managers and assist, as appropriate, in the resolution of any issues identified in the “effective challenge Work with the Risk Manager and business unit managers in increasing the understanding of risk, and the risk assessment process.
Prepares enterprise risk management reports for the Risk Manager and the appropriate oversight and Board committees.
Recommends changes and assists in preparing policies, procedures, controls or actions to be implemented throughout the Bank.
Supports all activities related to the Management Risk Compliance Committee and the Executive Risk Management Steering Committee.
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for Enterprise Risk Assessment software.
Develops and prepares customized reports for Division on a recurring and as needed basis.
Serves as a Product Manager for various vendors used for risk management.
Acts in the capacity of committee secretary for the MRCC and GLBA Committees.
Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a thorough knowledge of risk and compliance functions, internal controls, systems, procedures, good working knowledge of deposit and lending products and services and applicable Federal and State Regulations.
Strong organizational, managerial and project management skills are essential.
Must have an ability to deal effectively with numerous and conflicting priorities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in assessing internal controls and or experience in a quality assurance role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to effectively communicate “up” within the organization while providing constructive feedback regarding the business unit’s assessment of risk based on “effective challenge”.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and interpret and draw bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Current driver’s license.
Certified Compliance Regulatory Manager, Risk Management or Internal Audit Certification is desirable.
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE SKILLS Microsoft Office, Business Analytics experience preferred OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to multi-task, excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.

Salary Range:$62,783.
00 To 87,896.
00 Annually 40 hours per week.
